It took over a month to have the couch delivered. The communication regarding the delivery date was confusing as the delivery guys called twice and provided different delivery date compared to the tracking info from the company so I spent a whole day waiting for the delivery whereas they delivered several days later (in accordance with the tracking info which was correct).
The sofa itself came in three parts. I read all the reviews available for the sofa and no one mentioned any assembly; I guess the manufacturer changed something. It took 2 hours to make the sofa work. First, there was misalignment in the sofa bed retraction mechanism so it would not pull out. When we figured out what was wrong it took 4 grown men 20 minutes to pull the sides of the couch in different directions to realign the metal parts properly. Then the delivery guys had to leave as they still had many deliveries to make (it was 6pm) and my husband and his father finished assembly. All pictures of the sofa in the web have its back as a whole piece, ours came in 2 parts, the back cushion also came separately and had to be attached to the base. We did not find any instructions in the package, web search didn’t yield any either do we had to figure things out ourselves. There were just a few nuts and bolts to attach but they were tricky and we lost one inside the cushion during the process and had to fish it out with a magnet.
After all the work done the couch looks great and works well, though unfolding is definitely not as easy as demonstrated in the video of the couch available online. It is firm to sit and lay down which we like, and looks very good in the room.
The minimal design is what caught my eye, and it looks even better in person. Love the soft-touch upholstery and how compact it is. Great for guests, and the setup takes less than a minute. Feels high quality all around.
This sofa is a perfect fit for my RV. The sleek design doesn’t take up too much space, and the mattress is more comfortable than I expected.
The New York sleeper sofa is cozy, and it’s so easy to open. I was a bit skeptical about the mattress, but it’s surprisingly comfy!
The matching bolster pillows are a nice touch, and the sofa itself is very comfortable. The memory foam mattress is excellent!
